Hire @kencamp for Manager of Corporate IT at Twitter

I’ve been hunting for my next great job for a while and now I’ve found it. Twitter is looking for a Manager of Corporate IT, and I am the best person they’ll find for the job.
They need a self-motivated IT manager to lead their team of pros for admin direction and support of the daily hustle and bustle that goes on at Twitter. They’re looking for someone to plan, coordinate and direct the IT activity inside Twitter. They need a pro with technical and business savvy to help them continue meeting their business needs. I’m that person.
I have nearly thirty years experience in the IT industry, with strong telecommunications and networking skills. I’ve designed and managed the operation of global networks built on many different technologies. I’ve worked with meshed Cisco Catalysts to deliver multimedia voice-data-video in a state government network with 250K end points. I’ve architected a utility network solution for a network of ten million meters using a combination of 900MHz radio, 3G data and IP for a single unified solution to collect and manage billing. I’ve worked with vendor equipment from Cisco, Lucent, Avaya, Nortel, Juniper, and hundreds of other vendors. I’ve also managed the vendor partner relationships with many of them. Take that and add in experience with Microsoft Server, Active Directory, Exhange, SQL and lets not overlook integrating mobile technology with Blackberry Enterprise Server. I understand complex.
I’ve written three books on VoIP and unified communications technologies, including The Definitive Guide to Converged Network Management (http://nexus.realtimepublishers.com/DGCNM.htm). I’ve written hundreds of industry white papers and best practices documents across the unified communications and InfoSec domains (yep, I’m a security guy too)
In addition to the technical skills I bring, I’ve sold many of these solutions in the past, so I understand how business problems are resolved with the right technical integration into the work flow. I make technical solutions eliminate business problems. And I’m very, very good at it.
I’m at ease in the boardroom and in the switchroom. I relate well across all levels of business and can readily speak in technical terms or business terms that fit the audience. Ask around online. I’ve spoken at ITExpo and VON, and at RSA several years ago. I can handle pressure whether it’s meeting with the boss to fight for budget to do what’s really needed, or to share a story about a success on stage.
And, I’ve been Twitterpated since they began. I joined Twitter in 2006, over three years ago. I’m approaching 15,000 tweets, so you know I use it. You can find me (@kencamp) on there any time, because I’m not just addicted to Twitter. I’m a Blackberry fanatic too.
I believe I’m the best person for the job. @ev and @biz have shown great success, but for Twitter to keep growing to what lies ahead, they also need some seasoned pros who’ve been around the block and know how to get the job done. That’s me.
I’m asking readers, and all my online friends, whether you’re on Twitter, Facebook, FriendFeed, LinkedIn or one of the many other sites we all use to network for your support.
Help me win this job!
